I’ll give you a call…oh, wait - I’ll text you instead
Isn’t it strange how we communicate these days? I was just thinking about this…it wasn’t too long ago that we had to find a pay phone, pull the car over, and find .20 or .25 cents to make a call. There may have been a few “mobile” phones, but they were hundreds of dollars and the size of a world almanac. Then, cell phones worked their way in. I can’t believe how many people are using these things. Sure, I have one for emergency use, but the next time you’re stopped at a light, take a look at how many people are talking on their cell as they’re driving by. It’s crazy.
From cells came texting, blackberries, iPhones…online communication - blogs (hey, you’re reading one, what do you know?!
), social networking sites, Twitter…we seem to be communicating more than ever. Why does the world still seem so disconnected? Is anyone listening on the other end?
